Fed Up with Honking Trains?

Over the last couple of years, the frequency of freight trains using the Union Pacific railroad tracks that run between the Brooklyn train yards and the OMSI area has increased dramatically. Federal legislation now allows communities to establish residential quiet zones to mitigate this unwanted noise. Let’s use the opportunity of the upcoming light rail construction to retrofit the crossings with upgraded gates so we can establish a residential quiet zone and finally get a good nights sleep.
