The Southeast Uplift Neighborhood Coalition is one of seven neighborhood association coalitions in Portland supporting ninety-five neighborhoods. Join Southeast Uplift staff and members of the Brooklyn Action Corps for a casual “no-host” lunch at the Semaphore restaurant at 1639 SE Holgate Boulevard on Thursday November 5 at noon. This is an open invitation to anyone who wants to meet Southeast Uplift staff in a relaxed atmosphere at this venerable Brooklyn neighborhood eatery. Portland City Council has voted to approve loaning a million dollars to the Oregon Rail Heritage Foundation to support development of a new storage facility and museum near OMSI. This facility will house the three city-owned steam locomotives that currently reside at the Brooklyn Rail Yard.
