Well folks it’s that time of year again. The Brooklyn Neighborhood Ice Cream Social happens right here at Brooklyn Park Sunday September 12 from 1-4 PM. We’ll have ice cream bars and ice cream sandwiches for an incredible 25 cents each, a bouncy castle for the kids, a climbing wall, acoustical music with Alexa Wiley Pengelly and friends, free raffles of toys and gift certificates from local merchants, hot dogs and such from Loaves and Fishes, a balloon sculptor, and information booths about the BAC and Brookyn Historical Society. SE Uplift and the Office of Neighborhood Involvement are pleased to announce the fifth year of the Neighborhood Small Grants Program, with $86,664 in grant funds available to neighborhood and community groups across the city.
