Brooklyn Visioning Meeting

Every January, the Brooklyn Action Corps runs a visioning exercise at the first General Meeting of the year.

Visioning is a process designed to derive the priorities for the BAC from the values, needs, and wants of the general membership.

First, we’ll surface the values that the BAC should work towards: things like neighborhood walkability, access to other neighborhoods and the river, a healthy retail and entertainment scene, safe streets, and so on.

We’ll ask you to envision, specifically, what you’d like to see that exemplifies those values in Brooklyn at various time scales: 1 year, 5 years, 10 years.

We’ll then ask you to think of actions we could take at those timescales to make those values come true.

Then you get to vote on which of those actions are your top three.

The board then uses those prioritize our projects for the next year.

Here’s the spreadsheet from the 2022 voting.

We hope to see you at the January 25, 2023 General Meeting.
