brooklyn bloom club is hosting our first community “Draw Your Dream Garden” — a community exercise in imagining accessible food justice — at the future garden lot on Thursday, July 28th from 6:30 – 7:30ish. This is an opportunity to imagine what a safe, accessible gardening space looks like, and a practice in planning a garden.
We will have paletas from Ice Queen PDX and a dreamy playlist for twighlight, picnic vibes. Please bring a chair, blanket, or other resting tool and your own drawing materials. We’re kindly requesting RSVPs so we know how many paletas to buy 🙂 Submit a song or two to add to the playlist in the RSVP form at: bit.ly/GardenDreamy
We will still be practicing social distancing, and neighbors are encouraged to wear a mask when in close proximity to others. Can’t attend? We’ll be live-streaming via IG – join us virtually or send us a photo of your dream garden. You can also sign up for our monthly newsletter at: bit.ly/DigitalBloom
brooklyn bloom club organizes activities, events, and programming centered in food justice and access to nature for queer, BIPOC, disabled, and/or low income neighbors. All neighbors are welcome to attend this event, but these communities are our priority.
We’re so excited to see you soon! Please let us know if you have questions or if you need anything 🙂
