Since Brooklyn does not have an official leaf pick up day by PBOT, we decided to take it on ourselves and help our fellow neighbors keep the streets and sidewalks safe and clear of leaves and debris for all residents.
We ask neighbors to gather up your rakes and bring your compost carts and help neighbors on leafy streets. We are going to clean the sidewalks and streets to make the neighborhood safe for all.
Bring your compost cart and rakes and tools to one of these two locations:
- Brooklyn Park, at the corner of SE Milwaukie Ave & SE Haig St
- Brooklyn School Park, at the corner of SE 16th Ave & SE Center St
There we will get instructions and disperse to the leafiest streets.
The first leaf day will make it safer for our littlest residents on Halloween. The second leaf day will be on Saturday, November 20th, before Thanksgiving.
