The Brooklyn Action Corps invites you to join us on Monday, September 13th at 6 pm on Zoom for a free, virtual discussion on “Housing & Belonging” with Paul Susi which is a part of Oregon Humanities’ Conversation Project.

During this online facilitation, we will be exploring both the history of houselessness in Portland and creating space for deeper questions about what it means to belong. We recognize that our neighbors have diverse opinions on these topics, and we hope that this opportunity fosters meaningful discussion, learning, and community building.

Our facilitator, Paul Susi, is a theater artist who was born and raised in Portland, OR. He has a background in social services, education, community activism and spent five years managing shelters with Transition Projects. You can expect Paul to bring his experience of de-escalation, navigating difficult topics, and knowledge of historical context as it pertains to houselessness and housing in Portland into this space. If you would like to learn more about Paul, please visit Paul’s website or listen to their recent feature on OPB’s Next Generation Radio.

We expect this event to last between 1 1⁄2 to 2 hours. Please use our Google form to RSVP to this event.
