The 2008 Brooklyn Ice Cream Social was bigger and better than ever. The weather was sunny and darn near perfect. We had several new organizations present this year, and this helped us draw more people than ever.
We upped our purchase of ice cream bars, but ran out just before the close of events at 4PM. My apologies to those of you that missed out. We will make sure to increase our order once again for next year’s event.
A full list of thank yous will be listed in the next neighborhood newsletter. Special thanks to those of you that volunteered to help set up, sell ice cream, run the childrens games, and to help clean up. Special thanks also to Fred Meyer stores for stepping up and donating some of the toys for this year’s raffle. This was in addition to their usual donation for the event.
Please let us know what you thought of the event. We want to make next year’s ice cream social even better.
