NEW MEETING TIME: Trimet and Brooklyn Action Corps to hold meetings on 9/23/09

Please join us starting at 6:00 PM on Wednesday the 23rd at the Thelma Skelton Loaves and Fishes Center for not one, but two different meetings to discuss the future of the Brooklyn Neighborhood.

TriMet will kick off the evening for a 6:00 PM discussion of the Milwaukie Light Rail Line.   Engineering plans are advancing quickly, and TriMet and City of Portland planners will be on hand to share with us new details on how a fully rebuilt SE 17th Avenue will look and function.

Brooklyn will then hold its September General Meeting at 7:00 PM.  This meeting will feature presentations on neigborhood safety and the upcoming Inner Southeast Community Center.  We will also be taking your feedback on TriMet’s light rail plans, and drafting up an action plan based on your input.

Two great meetings, two action packed hours, one central location, unlimited ideas for the future of our great neighborhood.  See you there!
