Talia Sheldon Hosts Baby-Friendly Family Dance Classes at The Warehouse in April

The Warehouse, home of Brooklyn’s newest cafe/clothing store/community pantry/alternative school, is hosting baby-friendly family dance classes in April.  They start out the month on Saturday April 2nd with a free hour of music, dancing, and singing, followed with a lesson in swing dancing.  This FREE party is open to all caregivers and children under 3! Plus a chance to win a free class for Talia’s ‘Ballroom with Baby’ dance series. “Ballroom with Baby” is the Friday class from 10:30 to 11:15 running April 8th through the 29th. You and baby will learn basic steps to popular ballroom and social dances. Best of all, baby will be your partner. This playful class features a unique blend of dance, music, singing and learning for both adults and babies. By the end of the session you will know how to waltz, tango, salsa, swing and more. Baby will also have fun while developing rhythm, coordination and expression (the littlest ones may even be lulled to sleep). You don’t need any dance experience for this class. So, join in as we connect with our babies and each other through dance and music!

Talia draws from her experience as a ballroom dance instructor, choreographer, children’s dance program director, after school program leader, mother and nanny.   As a new mother, her passion for child development and health of both baby and caregiver inspired her to develop this class. She is eager to share music and dance with families in the community. Her goal is to serve caregivers’ needs while creating a fun environment that also nourishes babies’ development.

Special Notes: Baby carriers/slings are helpful for this class, but are not necessary.

AGES: Caregivers of all ages welcome (singles and couples). Babies under 18 months.
