Flat tires in Brooklyn

If you ever came out in the morning to this scene,  you know how frustrating it could be.

Flat tire
TV Channel 6 News had an article in their evening news on Thursday 9/5  about the occurrences of this in the Portland area. Unfortunately the report was based on incomplete information.

With all the incidents happening in Brooklyn, a request was made to the Portland Police Dept to supply us with some related crime data. The crime analyst developed a map showing the areas where the crimes had occurred. The map used for the news program showed no crimes in Brooklyn. Further queries showed Brooklyn with a concentration of occurrences as follows.

Brooklyn neighborhood incidents are concentrated in a small area covering 12th from Holgate to Cora and then 9th from Cora to Rhone. Then there are several on 10th and 11th from Center to Rhone. On 8th there are 2 near Franklin. The following link to the crime statistic map shows the major concentrations.

Keep in mind that this information is only for incidents reported to PPD. If it happened to you or a neighbor make sure it is reported. Reports can be made on line at: http://www.portlandoregon.gov/police/cor/
This problem has not ended as there was a report of an RV flat tire on 9th Ave this week.
Crime Stoppers is offering a $1000 reward for information leading to an arrest in this case or any other crime.
