We are excited to announce that we have two new recurring events to our calendar. We will be hosting a monthly kids craft night as well as a trivia night.
In March the CCC held a trivia night at Mano Oculta to see if there was interest in trivia. The first trivia went well and we scheduled trivia nights through June. Trivia Night is a great way for adults to come together and test their knowledge on a variety of topics. Participants can come with a team or join one on the spot, and Mano Oculta will provide a prize for the top-scoring team.
We would love to have another host or two to craft more trivia games and build our stable of hosts for trivia night, thus allowing the other hosts to take a turn at playing occasionally.
Kids Craft Nights is a fun and creative event for children of all ages. Each month, we will provide a different craft project for kids to work on, along with all the materials they need to complete it. This is a great opportunity for kids to express their creativity, learn new skills, and make new friends in a safe and welcoming environment.
Kid’s Crafts will take place at the Brooklyn Park Shelter house through August, but we are hoping to find an indoor venue appropriate for kids crafts starting in October so we can continue through the year.
Both events are reoccurring, with kids craft nights on the first Wednesday of the month at 4 and Trivia on the 4th Tuesday* except June, then it will be the 3rd Tuesday. Suggested $5 donation or pay what you can, to help pay for materials. Trivia nights are free to play.
